Malu C. lives a couple of houses down from where I'm staying in Quezon City, Philippines. She is a seamstress by trade. I ran into her and her niece Margaret on our street when Manang Nita and I were on our way home. They were out shopping for materials for my living room set covers. She wanted to talk to me on the street about the job because she said her knees started to bother her. In fact, she added that she was not able to get on a jeepney earlier. Margaret had to hoist her up, because her legs were so weak. She was limping a little bit. I was able to convince her with Margaret's prodding to come into the house so she can sit down while we talk.
After our talk, she was telling me a litany of her physical problems, which included osteoporosis (brittle bones), back pain, weak legs and knee pain. I asked Malu if she believes in God and His power to heal. Without any hesitation, she said, "Oo naman" (of course). Before I prayed with her, I showed her how her right leg was quite a bit shorter than her left leg. She had her eyes closed while I prayed... I had to ask her to open her eyes so she won't miss her miracle. Her right leg grew out and became even with the left leg. Her eyes grew bigger and Margaret was astonished! After I prayed, I asked her to get up, march, twist her body and walk up and down the steps. She was surprised that she was able to do the things she couldn't do before, especially walking up and down the steps! She thanked Jesus! I talked to Malu about how she can maintain her healing miracle... After that, both Malu and Margaret invited Jesus in their hearts! They were both saved!
It is undeniable that Jesus is the healer! The power of the Holy Spirit was also in display during Malu's miracle. Malu just didn't receive her miracle, but Jesus also saved her and her niece Margaret. Isn't God awesome? His miracles, signs and wonders follow those who believe! Do you believe?
